Dot NAME Domain Name Registrations

Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME universal domain extension is the sole TLD planned for personal web pages only. These domains can include personal or fictional names, nicknames and/or other titles people are known by. At the beginning, just third-level registrations were permitted, so if you planned to acquire john.doe.name, you were required to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration process was liberalized and second-level registrations were also allowed. Already bought 3rd-level domains remained online.

Through our firm, you can register your dot NAME domain for a period between one and ten years. You will have the opportunity to alter the WHOIS information, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also move over an already purchased domain to our company if you acquire its EPP transfer authorization code from the present registrar firm and we will renew it once the transfer has been finalized. There are no special stipulations on who can register a dot NAME domain, but in order to maintain the objective behind its creation alive, the Registry may verify who the owner is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain, the registration may be challenged.

The dot NAME top-level domain name extension is one of the extensions that support internationalized domains, so we can also register a domain in any language at no additional cost.
