A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to inactive email addresses under the very same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive messages from partners or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Just one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be re-sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting

Setting up a catch-all email mailbox will be amazingly easy in case you’ve got a website hosting service with us. You can enable this feature through our advanced, yet user-friendly Email Manager, which is an integral part of the Hepsia hosting Control Panel, via which you will administer the web hosting account itself. You will see all the email addresses that you have created displayed alphabetically and on the right-hand side of each of them there will be a tiny "Catch-all" icon, which will immediately reveal to you whether a specific mailbox receives all the emails pertaining to a given domain name or not. With one click on the icon you can activate or deactivate this feature whenever you want. If there’s enabled email forwarding or if some other mailbox has already been set up as a catch-all one for a certain domain, you will receive a notification from our system. The latter will not replace/disable anything automatically or without your consent.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

You will be able to set up a catch-all email address with no more than a click in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated hosting with us and your emails are handled by our cloud platform. All the addresses that you set up using any domain name hosted in the semi-dedicated account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia Control Panel. Each of them will have a mini "Catch-all" icon on its right-hand side, so all it will take to enable this option will be to click that icon. In the exact same manner you’ll be able to disable the feature, if you do not need it any longer. Our system will warn you if you’re attempting to enable a 2nd catch-all mailbox for a particular domain or in case there’s enabled email forwarding, but it will never modify or disable anything automatically and without your approval.
